I'm surprised your lender has not already talked to you about this. Your VA addendum should state that VA will not loan more than the appraised amount. I can appreciate your feelings but this provision is in the contract addendum for your protection. It is up to the seller to reduce the price to the appraised value or the lender will not do the loan. - Mon Oct 5 2009, 12:39
