Buying a single family house in foster city?

Jim Minkey answered:
I've often been confused by this High School issue. Foster City has appreciated at least as well as it's outlying neighbors...without a High School, and last year had depreciation in value LESS than San Carlos did. San Carlos has a fantastic reputation for schools too. I don't think it's such a bad thing for a child to go to San Mateo High Schools...they're good schools. For what it's worth Foster City has the BEST elementary schools around too. You've got 13 or 14 years until you need to worry about a High School. If you like Foster City...stay there. - Fri Feb 13 2009, 11:26
