Your lender and your agent should have been aware of this. This is basic real estate knowledge. Maybe both of them can discount a bit of their commission to make it a bit more acceptable. As far as renting before you close, this is a risky step for the seller so don"t be surprised if he said no. If he said yes, it would need to be a reasonable amount.

Also, seems a bit :fishy" to me about the transfer 3 weeks in. - Wed Nov 18 2009, 08:54
