HUD lists condo buildings that are approved on their website and your agent should have been aware of that. You may want to contact HUD directly and ask them if there is anything that can be done.

The offer that your agent submits on your behalf has a built in right of recission in it that allows you to view the condo assoc financials. If there is something in the financials that you are unhappy with you are not obligated to move forward. I am very familiar with the Hollywood area should you need any help. I agree with Caroline who happens to be my manager at EWM Realtors located in Fort Lauderdale. Like our owner Warren Buffet we keep updated on the market conditions on a daily basis and provide our clients with the best customer service! Along with Victoria Park I would recomend the community of Sailboat Bend! Sailboat Bend has a very Islandy feel yet is still located downtown! The new river gently rolls through the community and joins up with the intercoastel. There are many great deals there now and I will be showing some homes there tomorrow. Fort Lauderdale is a great city and I am sure you will love it here. A few recomendations I would make would be Coral Ridge, Victoria Park, Shady Banks, Sailboat Bend, Croissant Park and Wilton Manors. All of these areas are close to shopping, the beach, and downtown. I would be happy to send you a list of townhomes that matches your criteria along with some helpfull information in the mail.
