There is a public research webite that has all kinds of info that may help you. It's the Connecticut Economic Resource Center and here is a link to the website:

If the link does not work, just copy and paste it into your browser. Good luck with your project.

Information concerning crime statistics can be found by contacting the local police department for that city.

The average sales price of these homes was $447,685 and the average list/sale ratio was 95%. Of course, these are just averages and each circumstance of sale varies. Hi George,
There are many great towns to choose from between Hartford and Waterbury, some very rural and some quite urban. I have colleagues upstate who would be able to guide you to the right community. Feel free to contact me if you would like to be introduced to a top Prudential agent in that area.

Hi Monika,
Another great town to consider is Trumbull...great public schools, reasonable prices and unlike many other towns, you can still get a good size piece of property. Trumbull also offers numerous parks and town recreation areas which you and your children would enjoy! The only negative factor I can think of is that it is a little bit farther out than the other towns you were considering, but if you only occasionally need to commute to the city, then it can be a great option at your price point.
Check out my website for a live multiple listing search feature which will give you an idea of what homes are available in your price point.
Best regards,
