Cj answered:
All real estate licensing that I am aware of requires your state test and a national test since real estate is generic in it's application of certain procedures. Furthermore, in the old days (I've been at it since the 70's) your point would have been well taken however now with the information highway anyone can access and or provide perfectly legitimate answers relating to local real estate laws and practices regardless of their experience given the generic values inherent in such matters if they have been trained to recognize what it is they are having to look for. Furthermore it is my understanding that even if you are local and are answering a local question relating to real estate such answer is not a fact but an opinion and that the reader is or should be adviced to seek professional licensed assistance in the matters applicable to such opinions. So no I don't think Trulia should contemplate it, I think the sophistication of the professionals in here will take care of their own. - Wed Oct 24 2007, 11:08
