FHA203k architect

Marge Haworth answered:
Hello Ken,
Have you discussed the criteria with a lender? In my experience 203 k is only for really putting some lipstick on her. If an architect is necessary - most likely not 203k material. the lender will have a list of approved workmen, I have had clients get their own tradesmen approved without a lot of hassle. But structural improvements are not qualified.Your Realtor will know some lenders that write 203k and at least a basic working knowledge of which properties will qualify. Good luck to you.
