Both Talbot Park & Maplewood are considered excellent neighborhoods. I'm puzzled by the term "transitional" for Maplewood. Could you please clarify what you mean by that?

Let’s go ahead and consider the following; Maplewood is in walking distance to downtown Edmonds (called "The Bowl") whereas Talbot Park is approximately 4 miles north of downtown. If you enjoy walking to shops, restaurants, cafes, theaters, etc. then Maplewood is clearly the better choice for location.

In addition to the Edmonds School District website, another great website for school information is http://www.k12.wa.us/. This website has a "report card" for the schools based on test scores and lots of other great school information.

For safety issues, I suggest you contact the police department directly for information that is of concern to you. Their phone number is 425-771-0200.

I hope this is helpful.

Hi Janelle,

That is a good question! The book that I am currently reading and I suggest you do the same is "The Millionaire Real Estate Agent" by Gary Keller. I am finding this book very motivational and changing my view as being a Real Estate Agent.

I hope that helps!

Hi Carol,

That is a great question! In the last couple of weeks the market in Edmonds has really been picking up, there are a lot more listings that are becoming active and there are also a lot more transactions moving to closing, which means there are buyers out there ready to make a move.

Now you mentioned that this is purely a financial viewpoint so with that in mind I would tell you to put your house on the market this spring at a price that you would be happy with, something to remember is that buyers are coming in with slightly lower offers then asking price so make sure to factor in a few percentage points to be negotiated off your listing price. Now if your property doesn't sell in a timely fashion then I would take your property off the market. I would then wait until next spring and try again, but this time you would make some upgrades to your property such as paint, new carpet, windows, staging, etc., if you haven’t already done so.

I hope some of this information was helpful & if you have any further questions please feel free to contact me!

Take care,
