About Me
Having relocated here with my family 7 years ago, From PA, I have learned a lot about Grand Rapids and the surrounding communities. Including the fact, I love it here! Moving here is the best decision we ever made. My goal is for you to have the same wonderful experience. No matter how near or far your move is I can make it easier for you. In fact it can be downright enjoyable!
I am a wife and a mother of 2 (some say a kings family, one boy and one girl). I would love to list hobby's however my hobby is community support. My specialties are 1st time home buyers, and relocation. I have relocated several times in my life........(well, let’s just say a bunch!) I understand what goes into relocation, professionally and personally!

Michelle Gordon answered:
FHA so far has not made any changes.........This is a great loan for a 1st time home buyer. 3% down, and you can get down payment asst. with a program like AmeriDream. RD loans are 100 percent loans, and MSHDA still ahs some good options.
Here are the websites:
FHA - http://www.fha.com/
AmeriDream - http://www.ameridream.org/
MSHDA - http://www.michigan.gov/mshda
RD - http://eligibility.sc.egov.usda.gov/eligibility/welcomeAction.do

How do you find notice of foreclosure sale listings?

Michelle Gordon answered:
Hi Lisa, most of these are posted on the local MLS........ www.grar.com. Most banks list with a Realtor. If is says "sold as is" they are usually a foreclosure or a short sale. You can find HUD homes onhttp:// www.mcbreo.com, however Grand Rapids is not posted yet, we are think maybe by Friday at 4;00 pm they will be up and running for the Grand Rapids area. If you go to my web site I have details about buying a bank owned home.
Good luck in your search, If I can be of any help and your not working with a Realtor already, feel free to contact me. - Mon Apr 28 2008, 14:06

Michelle Gordon answered:
Not always, depends on the bank, they are just looking at their bottom line, however if you are not the only offer, the "cleaner" offer may get excepted. However this type of offer ....fha with dpa is the most common used loan out there right now for 1st time home buyers.....from what I have been reading. - Wed Apr 23 2008, 19:34
Michelle Gordon answered:
Hi Kristen,

The house is in pending status..........they are waiting to close, however if you have a buyers agent, they can call the listing to agent to see if this is a strong sale. You never know. I hope it does not fall through, but sometimes they do and you can get put on a list to be called if it does. - Thu Apr 17 2008, 12:19
