One other item I didn't see addressed...are you financing the home? Most contracts have a financing contingency, and if the home didn't appraise, the lender won't give you the loan...therefore you could walk, since you can't get a loan. it would be another possible "loop hole".
Best of luck! - Fri Feb 22 2008, 12:50

Hi Carol,
We have 3 offices in Phoenix. If you could give me details about which part of the city you are in, I'd be happy to refer you to one of our full service agents. Crystal@KansasExit.com - Fri Feb 22 2008, 12:46

Wells Fargo Mortgage has a product just for that. You get two draws, and at least in the KC area, you don't have to have inspectors. - Fri Feb 22 2008, 12:42

Platte Valley Bank would be a good resource. I would also recommend CTX Mortgage, Keith Knapp 816.331.9600 x 104. Keith is great to work with and can recommend the right type of loan for your needs. I have been selling to several investors in the Kansas City area, particularly Eastern Jackson County. Properties below $150 haven't seen the hit, we are seeing in other markets. - Fri Feb 22 2008, 12:40

how long do you have to be at a job before you can buy your first home?

Crystal Fields answered:
That depends. Did you go to college prior for the same field? Was your previous job in the same field? Lenders are usually looking for 2 years...but that can be pulled together with school and previous positions, if they are in your current field. - Wed Feb 20 2008, 12:54
