The blog referenced below will tell you a lot about purchasing REOs, and covers this, too. Short answer - you ALWAYS want an agent working on your behalf unless you're buying from your parents. - Sun Jun 28 2009, 16:57
I suggest using your own agent, but read the posts below to help you either way. - Sun Jun 21 2009, 07:10

George - go to my web site and click on Service Providers and then Preferred Lenders, all of them listed are direct lenders. My favorite for first time home buyers is Cindy Fox with SunTrust, but they all do FHA... their qualifying criteria varies a bit. Some offer VHDA FHA some do not. - Sun Jun 28 2009, 16:51

Bill, I'd be glad to help you. This listing is no longer available, I am sorry. I am happy to help you search for homes that are available; or you can use the search engine on my web site which is updated in real time.

Can you contact me directly? vchrisner@kw.com or 703-669-3142 - Fri Jun 26 2009, 19:24
Vicky Chrisner answered:
In Virginia, "usually" a lease supersedes a sale, meaning the lease and all related agreements transfer to the new owners. However, if you're the tenant, review your lease just to make sure there isn't something in it to the contrary. - Fri Jun 26 2009, 19:20
Vicky Chrisner answered:
Just chiming in. You can not change location. You can change price to the point people will overlook it.

If there's anyway to "hide" the location, then do it. Examples: trees for screening a busy road; adding blinds or otherwise obscuring the view of the busy-ness from inside the home, playing soft background music to hide the sounds of the busy-ness. But, in the end, you'll still have to lower your price. - Fri Jun 26 2009, 19:18
