Can low commission hurt my sale?

Sarah Solomon answered:
Rockinblu- truthfully I have deleted everything regarding this thread, because you specifically inspired me to walk away from any conversation that you are part of. BTW I think it is very odd to make the accusation that I and another person here named Sara are the one in the same. I guess if a person is paranoid for no apparent reason...it really doesn't mean that someone isn’t out there to get them, but clearly that someone is not me. You speak of lawsuits etc, but what I would like to know is this… You are basically accusing me or the other Sara of being the same person which would portray me as a liar and a fraud, so therefore you are defiling my name and or character on a public website and deserve to be sued by me personally and the other Sara for that matter.

I hope that you get licensed one day to sell Real Estate, because you have the idea in your mind that you would be great, as evident in all your blogs. Including the one that takes advantage of agents for CMA data- so that you can get an idea of how to position your property in the market in case you bail (…). Yes- I actually took the time to read them and so that everyone here knows- you are truly on a mission to prove any agent wrong. To be honest, I would tell you to lose my number if you called me wanting help to buy after you rejected me on the list side. Just a friendly reminder that agents don’t like to work with people who are going to use them for their expertise and then turn around and say “I think I am going to do this on my own!” We have the ability to work with those we like and trust too- and love shows like The Apprentice.

The truth of commissions and or fees- some may despise the money that we make. Some may accuse us that a commission is all we care about. Regardless, if a buyer pays their respective fees and the seller is obligated to pay theirs. The amounts would basically equate to the same. Why- we would make certain of it! Us REALTORS know the cost of business and we know how much $$$ it takes to sell a home and we are also extremely confident professionals who know more about your house value then you do. For that reason alone, which you clearly pointed out in your blog…makes us priceless. We have also worked too hard for decades to let anyone minimize our business. Especially those who vent their frustrations to the world and make up non-sense accusations to try to defile this industry or individuals who are behind it. Don't forget Rockinblu Trulia wasn't established by your FSBO friends- who do you think pays Trulia? You? If you would like to respond to this- feel free to contact me direct at 303.598.8738, thank you.

P.S. If that photo on your profile was taken by someone else, you should really remove it- copyright and all. - Thu Jul 2 2009, 22:19
