how long will it take to get an answer when you present an offer on a property?

It depends. If your offer is presented by an agent, there shouldbe a time limit for the seller to respond. If the offer is on a foreclosure or a short sale, there is no way to predict the answer. The banks are backed up, have control over the process and have no requirement to answer in any given time period. You will need patience. - Mon Jun 22 2009, 12:01
