Excuse me for the typo, that should have been "experiencing," not experiences. - Mon Oct 1 2007, 08:08
Because our prices here in Nashville and Middle TN never go so outrageous, as they did in the coastal areas, Washington DC, Las Vegas, etc, we are not experiences a major market adjustment as those areas. Yes, we are seeing homes stay on the market a bit longer, and sellers offer more incentives here and there, but as a whole, the Mid TN market is still very strong and will probably remain so for several years to come. - Mon Oct 1 2007, 08:05
Try developing a niche market: golffront homes, downtown condos, waterfront homes, etc. Pick an area, get to know it better than anyone else (study comps, market trends, new developments, etc), and then be the best at it! - Sun Sep 30 2007, 18:49
Doubtful. Buuuuut, myself and 3 other agents cover Kentucky Lake, Lake Barkley, Center Hill Lake, Old Hickory Lake, Tims Ford Lake, and the Cumberland River, all in Southwest Kentucky, Central and South Central Tennessee. Contact me via my profile if you're intersted. Sorry to self-promote, but I think you will find it challenging to find someone with much experience covering that much area themselves. Best to network! - Sun Sep 30 2007, 18:41
Good question, and a tough one as well! First, I would ask each for further references. I would ask each how many buyer side transactions they close each month/yr. I would ask each what specifically they would do for me to ensure the process was smooth and hassle free. I think it's a more cut and dry scenario if you're trying to choose between two listing agents, but a buyers agent is a totally different animal! I've personally competed for listings with other agents, but don't think I've ever had to compete head to head (as least no knowingly!) with another buyers agent. If you still can't make a decision, you may have the option of using both as a team, if both will go along with it, and their brokers are ok with it. Great question. - Fri Sep 28 2007, 13:16
