Can an options period be extended.?

Marcia Levine answered:
Krista,
The only thing I would add is that if you and the sellers agree to extend the option period, be sure that you offer additonal option fee money. It can be as little as $1, but without "nominal consideration" it doesn't count. Just as you must pay for the right to have an option period, the same is with any extension.

Best of luck to you,
