Have you looked in North Irving? There are new homes North of 635 off MacArthur. Some of this neighborhood is in the Coppell school distric which is great!! - Fri Apr 11 2008, 09:01

McKinney if you dont mind the drive or Oak Cliff for downtown living. Both have some very interesting architecture. Make sure you get it inspected as these older homes often have expense repairs waiting. Wood rot, leaking plumbing and other hidden problems. - Fri Apr 11 2008, 08:55

I would recommend Coppell or Southlake. They are both Highly rated. I live in Coppell with kids in the school system and have been very impressed with the schools here. My kindergartener has really excelled here. Coppell is more centrally located and has the best Band program in the state. Southlake has bigger lots and the best Football in the state but is a little further out and has more limited access. Commuter traffic is really heavy. - Fri Apr 11 2008, 08:50
