In addition to my real estate experience, I spent ten years in the construction industry. My experience in this area is in both residential and commercial construction. I am a former President of the Texas Masonry Association, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Texas Masonry Association, former Associate Member of the Texas Society of Architects, former Member of the American Subcontractors Association, former Member of Associated General Contractors - Houston, former Member of the Associated Masonry Contractors of Houston and a former Member of the Texas Lathing and Plastering Contractors Association. I have also served my community as a Cub Scout Pack Master, Cub Scout Den Leader and on the Boy Scout Eagle Scout Review Committee. I currently serve my community as a YMCA youth soccer, basketball and baseball coach. I am an avid SCUBA diver and holds professional accreditation as a SCUBA Divemaster and Assistant Instructor. Moving and buying a house can be a stressful, concerning adventure.....but Ron helped to make all that easier. I hope I don't have to move again anytime soon....but if I do, I would utilize Ron again. I would suggest to anyone to give Ron a try. Don't Dive into real estate without Ron!!!

Melissa assuming you meet all of the other requirements (ie: income, down etc) you need to improve your credit score. If you need to increase it only a few points you might do that yourself. but if you need 40 or more points you need professional help. Take a minute and review the short video in the web reference. Email if you have any questions. And please do not dispute your items online. If you do this it is only two computers checking with one another and you forfeit a lot of your rights under the law.

Leonard it may vary from state to state but in Texas I have done it and would do it again. We do have stipulations though and one is that both the buyer and seller must have signed rep agreements with the agent. That is in our intermediary agreement which notifies you that the agent represents both parties. Also agents have to be careful for liability reasons because in this situation, at least in Texas, we can not give advice. We can answer questions and provide all facts but offer no advice to either party during the negotiations. Check with the state board of realtors for your state.

Catherine, That decision is really based on your personal financial situation. I have several investors I work with that do buy homes for investment rental income. They can afford it if the house should sit empty for several months which can happen. I would suggest that you sit down with a good agent and they can walk you through all of the questions that need to be answered.

Allie, Please do not file your disputes online. When you do that it is only two computers checking with one another and you lose certain rights under the law when you do that. You must be very careful if you decide to do this yourself. The web reference shown below is a short seven minute video on credit repair. Please remember that the credit reporting agencies are in business to make money. They are not part of the government but only a for profit business.
