Paul Boyles answered:
Home Buyer, It is very difficult to say. Have your agent show you good valid recent comps to get an idea of what the market is "accepting". You never know a Seller's true motivation or need to sell, so every situation is different. However if you are "armed" with good comps you'll know an appropriate price to offer and won't end of overpaying. Without seeing the inside of each comp and the house you want to make an offer on, you can only estimate where your offer should come in at. Hope that helps! - Fri Dec 12 2008, 15:20
