I have had great luck with Listing Domains (www.listingdomains.com). They cost about $75 a pop the last time I bought one and they're very user-friendly. I put the links on my email signature, which allows them to be marketed through everyone who gets an email from you. - Fri Jul 20 2007, 15:38
I have found that consumers rarely know the company affiliation of the agents. I would ask people you know and trust to recommend a good real estate agent. You will get names of people, not companies. Those people are the ones you should contact. Happy hunting! - Fri Jul 20 2007, 15:24
I don't put my photo on anything (website, marketing materials, business cards, etc.). I want the consumer to get to know me and my level of knowledge and service without having a chance to disqualify me before even having a conversation. I figured this out as a young agent in the business (started when I was 23) and although I'm much older now, the same principles apply. I have discovered that people can be fickle and I want to get every chance possible to interact with potential clients. - Fri Jul 20 2007, 15:20
The best answer probably has more to do with your personal motivation and situation than anything market related. If you can buy below market value and have some flexibility on when you MUST sell, you should be okay moving forward. Putting an absolute date on when it must be sold is not preferred. If you can financially support the home and wait for a more favorable selling climate, that would be the way to go--but nobody knows when and/or how much the market prices will recover.
