I am a dedicated, consistent and attentive Real Estate Specialist. Having achieved many successful years in the real estate industry, I know that my hard work and experience serve my clients well.
My Bachelors Degree in Computer Programming has only enhanced my abilities to assist my clients. I help clients realize the many effectively creative ways to utilize technology for marketing and selling properties. I also show clients step by step how the efficiency of their home computer and the internet can be a simple way to help find the home of their dreams as well as an investment property.
I chose to work with Sotheby's International Realty because I wanted to assist sellers and buyers from all over the world. I served in the United States Peace Corps as a volunteer in Africa for 3 years. Living and traveling overseas only enhances my ability to build excellent relationships with my clients.
I work with buyers, sellers, investors and developers. Sotheby's uses cutting edge marketing tools which allow me to provide a very high level of service to my clients.
I am very dedicated to my clients and my responsibilities as their Real Estate Specialist.
I enjoy traveling with my family as well as volunteering at Near North Montessori School where my 3 sons are enrolled.
I look forward to hearing from clients and I am always excited to meet new ones.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
You will receive a prompt response to any inquiry!

"I was NOT expecting to see Kristin on Trulia BUT, I am not surprised. She is very good at what she does. She markets well for her sellers (I was one so I know!) and she searches for the right properties for her buyers! (I was also one, so I know!) Call her if you want a REAL agent!"

Hi Greg,
Approx. $750-$950 (depends on how well the unit has been maintained or how recent it has been upgraded or rehabbed...)
Hope this helps,

It is expensive to join. I have a neighbor who joined to get 'fantastic wholesale pricing on cabinets'. That is all they ever got but were locked into to some month to month fee for a year. Depending on what you are looking for, I know MANY people who have gotten wonderful deals (at wholesale prices) from Craig's list...Many people who are downsizing as well as moving out of homes they cannot afford (foreclosures) are placing VERY nice furniture, rugs, appliances and electronics for sale on Craigslist.com
It all depends on what and how much you plan to purchase I believe. Hope this helps!

Hi Risa,
This is the general question/answer forum. I think you have to contact Trulia directly to make those changes. - Tue May 20 2008, 20:06
Since you have already voiced your concern with your agent, I would advise that you speak with the agents Managing Broker; that is if you are not already working with a real estate broker who owns their own agency. Call the managing Broker of the company your agent represents and they should be able to handle the situation. Your agent is not only losing a sale for herself and you but their company as well. - Tue May 20 2008, 20:04
Hi Kimberly,
Renting is a great idea but because you will be living in a different state, it IS a good idea to have a managment company look after your property. Unless you plan on making trips back and forth to Chicago. I have assisted clients in property rentals and YES, 1/2 of the first months rent is the fee. There is advertising involved as well as paperwork, etc.
One client that I have is renting her home here in Chicago and lives in New York. She has had a couple of issues with her tenants but since she has family here, she always has someone who can go over to the house and check things out for her. I would really advise thinking about a property managment company. The previous answer mentioned that it was expensive but if you do not have any other options, you really need to pay someone to watch after your investment, right? I am a real estate agent with Sotheby's Realty. Let me know if I can help you out in anyway. The company below does a lot of property management in the Hyde Park area...They advertise your property and do credit checks for renters as well as manage properties... - Wed May 14 2008, 12:28
