You would drive to the South Shore station in Chesterton which is called the Dune Park Station. Depending on your location in Valparaiso this could take 15 minutes or more. The train to the city takes about 1:15 to the loop. For a detailed train schedule check out http://www.nictd.com - Fri May 16 2008, 07:43

Homes usually sell for the most amount of money the first few weeks on the market. I encourage my sellers to lower their prices within the first 3 weeks of list. The feedback you are recieving is that your condo is beautiful, however, the buyers don't like the price. Remember, real estate is a commodity and as a commodity price is market driven. The only difference between real estate and stocks, bonds etc... is real estate buyers have emotion involved in their purchase. As a seller your goal is to play on that emotion by making your home seem like a "great deal". - Tue Apr 15 2008, 06:13

There are many good reasons to hire a Realtor to assist you in the sale or purchase of a home. The most simplistic reason would be a good Realtor will keep you emotions in check. They are an impartial 3rd party working for your best interest and helping rein you in when your emotions get the best of you. I always tell my sellers, “A day will feel like a week, a week will feel like a month and a month will feel like a year when you are trying to sell your home.” When you are wearing your buyer shoes it is helpful to have someone who can research the market for you when making an offer and bounce ideas off. Most importantly as a buyer, typically you do not pay the agent. The commission is paid by the seller. So why not have someone work for you that you are not paying? - Wed Feb 27 2008, 10:18

Most of the larger firms are hooked in with Trulia. Ask your agent if this is the case with their broker. If not ask your agent to sign up. - Wed Feb 27 2008, 09:59
