Paul, Home Buyer in Chattanooga, TN

Why are the houses in East Ridge (off of Brainerd just east of Missionary Ridge) are significantly less expensive that other parts of Chattanooga.?

I would suggest the homes in East Ridge are moderately price vs the remainder of the area. Value is established based on the sale of like, like, homes in a given area. Price is relative also depending on condition. To address your question concerning "high crime area". The forensic center on Amnicola Highway is probably the best source of data on crime areas in the city. Simply provide them with the address that you may be interested in and they will provide you data so you can make an informed decision. As a realtor it would be my job to help you locate a home and direct you to the professional sources for information you may need to make decision.
