William P. May is a native of Charlottesville, Virginia. He follows a family tradition in real estate sales and in personal involvement in the Charlottesville-Albemarle community. He attended local schools and was graduated from The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, where he studied management and marketing. After serving in the United States Army in Vietnam, he returned to Charlottesville in 1972 and developed a successful real estate career.
A commitment to hard work, long hours and ongoing study in an ever-changing industry has earned him the respect of buyers and sellers of a wide range of properties, from starter homes to million dollar properties, commercial and income producing properties.
Bill's reputation for outstanding service to clients and customers has built an ever-expanding business based on referrals from satisfied clients. In 1985 this commitment to service was recognized by the Charlottesville Albemarle Association of Realtors, when he was named RealtorĀ® of The Year.
His extensive background and knowledge in finance, negotiation and people skills enable him to provide expertise uncommon in the market place. He is informed on a wide range of topics helpful to both buyers and sellers. As a result, Bill enjoys mutually beneficial long-term client relationships based on the highest level of integrity, trust and service.
Bill has served on a number of committees within the local board and was President of the Charlottesville Albemarle Association of Realtors 1998.
