Christ Our King - Stella Maris is an excellent Catholic School in Mount Pleasant - may be an option for you as well. My kids both went to COK-SM. Mount Pleasant is a bit more expensive for housing than Goose Creek or Summerville - but it is a beautiful community close to the beaches and downtown Charleston.

Goose Creek and Summerville are excellent choices - each to the West of Charleston - about 20 to 30 minutes from Charleston. Mount Pleasant is 5-20 minutes from Charleston depending on what part you live in.

I would suggest sitting down with your Realtor and reviewing your listing with him/her. Put on the table any concerns or questions you have and make requests/suggestions at will. The Realtor - client relationship is based on open and mutual communication. I believe it would be inappropriate/unethical to offer you suggestions for your listing in this forum. Instead, I advocate for you to talk openly with your agent and by doing so enhance your relationship and collaboratively increase your abilities to sell your home.

Howdy,

I actually live in RiverTowne and have sold quite a few homes here. RiverTowne has several subsections with both custom built and track built homes; waterfront homes, marsh front homes, golf course homes - you know the drill. Thus, there are several different markets within this subdivision - which means there are different price points, different average times on the market, and the need for different strategies for marketing the variety of homes.

So, to properly answer your question, I need to know more. Where is your home located, is it a custom built home, where are you in proximity to the River, the marsh, the golf course?

I would suggest you talk to an expert in the area - perhaps someone who lives there???

In the Greater Charleston-Trident area last year, we experienced an increase in the median price of a home while many other markets experienced a decrease. The market continues to adjust and of course is currently very favorable to buyers. Legend Oaks is a great area in Summerville with a fantastic school district and great amenities - golf, tennis, swimming, etc. The neighborhood also features homes in a variety of sizes and styles built from the mid 1990's to new construction as recent as 2006.

In 2007, 181 home were sold in Legend Oaks at an average price of $284,786; compared to 2006 when 254 homes were sold in Legend Oaks at an average price of $279, 414.

Thus the prices have not seen an average decrease. Instead, we are seeing sellers price their homes more reasonably and buyers buy homes at prices that are an appropriate reflection of their true market value.
