Out of all the Realtors out there,
why should you trust me?
The old saying location, location, location also applies to your agent only it's experience, experience, experience. I am one of the few agents that began a real estate career directly after college. That was nineteen years ago and I have practiced in all facets of the industry. I managed the sale of relocation houses for PHH Homequity, one the largest real estate companies in the country. Oddly enough my assigned territory was North Carolina even though I lived in Connecticut. This was ideal for me since I had just graduated from the College of CharIeston in South Carolina and loved living in the south. Before moving here I also managed and sold commercial real estate in Southern Connecticut which included retail boutiques such as the Limited, medium sized shopping centers and even the sale of boat slips. In 1988 I moved to Durham when my husband began law school at Duke. I was hired immediately to develop and manage corporate relocation accounts. After my first son was born I was recruited by a local bank to manage and sell all of their single family residential property in the Triangle. When mysecond son was born and I wanted to try one more angle in the industry and I discovered something about real estate that I had never experienced before. I love working with families and helping them find the right house. As a mother I take your trust very seriously. I want to talk about schools, doctors, dentisits and town happenings. I also recognize how crucial it is to sell homes at the right value and right terms for you and only you. It's your investment and my career with every sale. For the last ten years I have been ranked in Prudential's top 5% nationwide and that's due to the faith that clients place in me. At the end of the day I go home knowing that I have been honest, worked smart, and helped someone make their largest real estate decision.

A basement is warranted if the lot is level at the road but drops significantly in the back. I prefer poured concrete walls to the cement blocks because of fewer structural problems and less leakage. Of course you should only finish it if you need the space but I would add windows and a door now while it's easy. Bring in lots of light! - Sat May 10 2008, 21:49
I have seen an interesting trend lately, listing prices begin about 15% higher than the final list price when it sells. For example I've been looking at list prices that avg 409,000 in one area but when they sell they are about 375,000 and they sell for about 98-99% of that list price. Just a small example... - Thu Nov 15 2007, 09:04
If it truly can function as three without walking through another room to get there I think you're okay. Doe sit have a window and a closet? That helps. If you love the house and the neighborhood and it works well for you, I'd say buy it. If you're on septic check the permit first to verify number of bedrooms so you'll know how to sell it. - Sat Oct 27 2007, 11:13
They are both close to everything and are pretty streets. I'd go with the house you prefer. - Sat Oct 27 2007, 11:01
I have very few clients request a radon inspection and of those who do I have not seen radon in over 15 years. Keep in mind others have found radon in our area and if more tests were done we'd probably see a higher number of positives. The North Carolina contract has pre-printed minimal acceptable levels which establish some type of measurement for remediation. They don't cost much and if you're already considering it, go ahead. - Wed Oct 24 2007, 14:27
