Hi Simone,
The best place to start is by speaking with a mortgage agent to find out what your comfort area is for purchase. It's terrible to go looking for a home and fall in love only to find you can't really afford it. Go over your budget and other expenses as well. Once you know what you can spend then you can begin looking. Search out and interview some Real Estate professionals in the area you want to live. I believe it's best to have someone who will represent you and your best interests. They will guide you through the entire process and be able to put you intouch with the other professionals you will need, ie., inspectors, a lawyer, etc. There are lots of things to be aware of when purchasing. Once you find the right condo, I highly recommend you have a thorough inspection don by a professional so there are no surprises after the purchase. Hope this is a good start for you. Good Luck in your search. - Thu Mar 19 2009, 09:29
