Since you want to be close to West Nashville, your best best would be the Fairview area. Let me know if you need any help. Best of luck to you! - Thu May 8 2008, 16:59
My husband and I lived in Brandywood Farms in Old Hickory for about five years... we loved it there and it is a short distance to the airport. Let me know if you need any help. Best of luck to you. - Thu May 8 2008, 16:56
Both places are fabulous. With the gas prices so high, I would be more inclined to look at the community that would be closest to my employment. I figure I'm spending an extra $40/week here lately on gas. That does not include my husband's vehicle... just mine. So, saving an extra $40-$50/week on gas may impact the decision on the price you may want to pay for a home. Just a thought. Let me know if I can help you and good luck. - Thu May 8 2008, 16:52
First you need to talk with a lender to get pre-approved for a loan. The next step is to identify where you want to buy. I would assume that you might want to be close to the university to that you can save on gas money and maybe have a short walk to get some exercise. With all those classes and burning the midnight oil studying, walking makes sense. Let me know if I can help you. Congratulations on going to medical school. Take care and good luck. - Thu May 8 2008, 16:42
Nimi: Unfortunately, none of us has a crystal ball to be able to tell you whether or not you will be able to sell for a profit in 3-5 years... I only wish. However, historically speaking, housing has continued to appreciate in these areas. - Sat Apr 19 2008, 08:44
