Can low commission hurt my sale?

Manish Patwari answered:
One really does not know, how low is too low. It depends upon the market one is in and of course, the commission is negotiable but there is a general benchmark/framework within which the commission is structured. The Seller is also no fool to give you more and the Buyer is also no fool to buy something he does not like no matter what the commission is.
In the end, it is the meeting of the minds of them and we are only trying to educate them so that we can make a decent living. Of course, being on top of the market helps in closing the deal for your client so that one can move on.. - Wed Jun 24 2009, 04:20
