Hi Jessica, you should be very careful about adds that promise something that sounds too good to be true, because probably it is. With so many programs available to new home buyers, like the Nehemia's program that provides a 3% down payment assistance; so many inventory, prices down, low interest rates and sellers offering closing costs, credits, etc. You are doing a monumental mistake not to be talking to a Real Estate Agent who knows a very good Loan broker or lending Bank and who knows the Real Estate purchase contracts real good and is real good negotiator.
Most people see a for sale sign in front of a Yard and right away call the LISTING agent to write an offer.
People Need to get in touchto an Agent who is going to be on their side; A BUYER's Agent.
The Buyer's agent doesn't charge a commission to the buyer, The seller agrees to pay a commission to the Listing agent that is split between the Listing and Buyer Agents. The LISTING agent represents the Seller and the BUYER's agent represents the Buyer interests.
Screen Real Estate Agents, interview at least 3 of them find out if she / he is someone you can feel comfortable in dealing with hire him/ her to be on your side, you'll save money and headaches and you'll be in a home that you really like, not in one that a certain person is giving you a great deal but you end up disliking the house in the first days living in it. - Mon Jun 16 2008, 15:10
