Growing up in a real estate family made Aria's career in the industry and obvious choice. The family business, Corias Homes, Inc., taught Aria many of her most valuable lessons. Jan, Home Buyer in Knoxville

My husband is interviewing in Austin and we're curious about Tarrytown, Clarksville or Enfield. Would?

The Craftsman/Arts & Crafts style homes are popular in Tarrytown, Clarksville, and Enfield as well as several other neighborhoods around Austin. There are some great private schools in the Westlake area which is a fairly quick drive from SW central Austin. Check out St Michael's Academy, St Andrews, and St. Stephens.

I also know of a luxury Arts & Crafts home in Rollingwood which is slightly closer to private schools and runs about the same as Tarrytown in prices. It's a luxury property so it depends on your price range, but it's an absolutely beautiful home.

Crestview and Hyde Park also have great Craftsman style homes but are farther from larger private schools. The lots are also much smaller and often the homes are as well.

Austin has a great growth rate consistently. Mayor Will Wynn is a responsible leader and a great listener. He does a great job at managing growth. The downtown development that I've seen is primarily being purchased by retired buyers and second home buyers. As Austin grows steadily like a blue-chip stock, it is great to be attracting these times of buyers in addition to working residents. - Wed May 14 2008, 17:19
