The term, "Going Rate" is probably a problem for many of us, but definitely for me. You see, the term implies that agents charge close to the same percentage and that smacks of price fixing, a practice that encourages unfair competition among service providers and thus deprives the public of reasonable prices. You'd be better served by speaking directly with a brokerage about their services and the charges for them.
