Just to clarify, the 50% discount is for revitalization areas only and for HUD owned properties only. The $100 downpayment option can be used on any HUD foreclosure where you utilize FHA financing. In Fulton county, there are 103 govt owned properties currently listed on BidSelect and 111 other foreclosures (bank owned, would require regular downpayment programs). Fulton county stretches from Fairburn in South Fulton to Alpharetta in North Fulton so it makes more sense to do a search by zip code if you're intent on a special area) DeKalb county has 239 govt owned foreclosures on BidSelect and 46 other bank owned properties. As you can see, lots of inventory and this is just under $150,000. Remember that you do not have to bid the list price, you can bid less. Many govt owned properties are ineligible for FHA financing because repairs exceed $5000. However, there are still many properties available and the list changes daily.
