I think it could work if you spun it the right way. I grew up in Morristown. My parents now are in Hunterdon County so I am back there quite often. Since there are a lot of historical parts of Morristown, you could draw in a tourist crowd as well as the business travellers who want an alternative to the big hotels. There are so many beautiful old homes there I think it would be a great idea. One thing you might consider is having a meeting space for business people or retreats. There is a B&B in Hunterdon County that did that. - Thu May 8 2008, 11:54
thanks for the responses so far. Schools are not a concern for us. We have a one year old son, but we don't plan to be in the area for more than 4 years so he most likely won't be going to school there. - Thu May 8 2008, 11:47
thanks to both for your answers. Deborah-that video was priceless! Who makes a video about things like that??? I will never understand the draw of you tube and all those, but it was nice to see the neighborhood.
As I mentioned to Lori in an email, I am originally from Morristown but I've been living in Atlanta for 5 years and out of Jersey for about 10 years. My husband will be working in Mahattan (West Village) so we are moving back. I am a Realtor here in Atlanta and it is SO interesting to be "on the other side" now! - Thu May 8 2008, 05:29
