Georgia Tech - you could consider that part of Midtown, Downtown, or West Midtown - all three are right there. Midtown overpriced? As an agent, I can say there is a FULL price range of properties. As an Midtown Loft resident also, I can say that it is worth every penny. I am looking out my window as I type this at the new Luxe Midtown building that the penthouses have presold for $2.3 million. But there are condos within sight of it for $130k. So really, decide what is right for you, and with a little looking, you can find a great home anywhere in this Buyers market.

I THINK THE BETTER QUESTION IS TO ASK WHERE YOU AS A BUYER WILL BE HAPPY. REAL ESTATE IS, ALTHOUGH NOT ALWAYS APPROACHED THIS WAY, AS A LONG-TERM INVESTMENT. BUYING THIS AS A HOME, THAT SHOULD TAKE PRIORITY IN THAT YOU FIND A PLACE THAT MATCHES WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IN FEATURES, COMMUTE, NEIGHBORHOOD, ETC, AND INVESTMENT AS A PART OF IT.

THIS IS WHY YOU DIDN'T WANT TO USE AN AGENT. YOU WANTED TO SAVE THE MONEY. TIME TO GET A SELLING AGENT TO REPRSENT YOU AND YOUR INTERESTS. THEY BUYER HAS A SEASONED PERSON ON THEIR SIDE, AND YOU ARE GOING TO PAY FOR THAT BUYERS AGENT, SO YOU NEED SOMEONE TO REPRESENT YOU AND WORK HARD SO THAT NONE OF YOUR MONEY IS LEFT ON THE TABLE. - Wed May 14 2008, 18:47
I cannot believe others would tell you to talk about your concerns with her! SHE REPRESENTS THE SELLER! HOW can she represent THEIR best interests to getting them the highest price possible? AND represent you YOU to get you the best lowest price possible? It is in my opinion a foolish thing. GO GET A BUYERS AGENT TO REPRESENT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am an agent in Atlanta, and I personally refuse to do both side of the deal. I have referred Buyers that would have allowed me to represent them, but I am doing neither my buyer or my seller a favor. It just seems clear to me without knowing any of the specifics other than your words, "I don't think it;'s working." Well, it makes sense. Go find an agent to represent YOUR BUYING INTERESTS SEPARATE FROM THE SELLING AGENT.
