When I was a relatively new agent and with a different company, I was ready to buy into anything and everything that would generate leads and give me the added differential that would set me apart with listing presentations. (At that point I wish I had looked to see that people are trying to sell Talking House on E-bay.) How I thought that a static disembodied voice would provide leverage sufficient to get potential Buyers to call me was very naive. However I truly believed that Talking House was the answer. I bought into the hype. Bad decision. And as for listing presentations, I even had a Seller tell me that he thought Talking House was too "high tech" for potential Buyers. And he is a radio man himself! And no matter how hard I tried, no FSBOs were interested. So a very high priced product that sat on my shelves. No-one was interested.
I was also not careful enough of the 30 days free trial and soon found myself caught up in over $2,000 in payments - high priced product. Added to that were unauthorized withdrawals from my bank (true) and there you have it. A product that does not produce what is advertised and the downside of having an extremely, very bad experience.
On the other hand, I found that Arch Telecom (and there are other companies) did produce the results that I desired and were tons cheaper. Call captures deliver where Talking House falls short. They not only give the information about the property that the potential Buyer is looking for, but then you do get the information as to who that potential Buyer was who dialed the number. It worked for me. And it's heaps cheaper (and less intrusive into my bank account) than Talking House. Do I sound unhappy with the product? Yep, I am. Am I older and wiser. Yep again! Would I recommend Talking House? :) - Tue Apr 8 2008, 12:41
