Hello R. Paul.

Unfortunately, Trulia and several other websites similar to Trulia simply poll this information from the local MLS and the county tax records. Any mistakes made there will translate to mistakes made on Trulia. Trulia also does not poll this information on a daily basis. So, any discrepancies or changes (or corrections) made to the actual listing on the MLS or the county records will not be reflected on Trulia for a lengthy period of time if ever.

I clicked on your property link and I see that there is no listing agent/broker information. I thought that maybe when you referred to the information as being incorrect that it was an active listing, but when I went to the tax records I see that it's not currently listed for sale. Typically you can speak to your real estate agent/broker that is listing your home for sale, and they can make the changes. In your case, the property link you're viewing is a 'historical link' that shows previous sale data and other property information; given this, you'll need to go directly to Trulia support.

From looking at the county records, it appears that it the date of the last sale was 6/13/05, BUT there was a 'warranty deed' recorded on 8/8/05. Trulia states a 'last sale date' of Aug. 8th, 2005. What they're actually looking at is the last dated activity that was recorded on this property through the county recorders office. Unfortunately, their computer systems they use don't seem to be able to distinguish between actual sale dates and other miscellaneous recording dates. I'm sure they don't actually review all of this information to check to see that it's accurate before they post it on Trulia.com.

They even has the description wrong from what I see versus the previous MLS listing information back from 2005. The number of bedrooms, bathrooms, sq/ft, lot size and year built are all wrong on Trulia.

The first place I would start would be the blue 'HELP' button at the upper right-hand corner of this page. If you click it, it takes you to their main 'HELP CENTER' page. Look down about to the middle of the page, on the left side under 'TOP QUESTIONS' and click 'HOW CAN I CONTACT TRULIA' and select it. This will take you to an 'FAQ' page where you'll see 'ASK A QUESTION'. Click that link which takes you to a questionnaire where you will select 'OTHER' from the first drop-down menu, and then select 'REPORT AN ERROR' from the other drop-down menu that pops up.

Go ahead and fill in all the appropriate boxes and hit 'FINISH' and you'll have submitted an error report to Trulia support.

They should follow up with you with a personal email in a few days.

Hope that helps!
