Finding a short sale to participate in is not a difficult task in this market. The largest issues tend to be the fact that the home is typically sold in as-is condition and there is a waiting period. When most banks decide to accept the short sale the window to close is usually short as well. The last short sale I assisted with, it took the bank 2 months to decide to approve it because they were so backed up. When they finally di they only gave us 5 working days to close.
