How would you describe the public and private education options in Pearland?

There are a number of excellent schools in the area. I have links to Pearland ISD and other area school districts on my web site. You can also go tohttp:// www.just4kids.org for helpful information on school districts and individual campuses. Sometimes the data can be confusing, but if you have questions about a particular disctrict or campus, a school district employee should be willing to help. Activity in Rodeo Palms has increased significantly after a slow and rocky start! There are other master planned communities in the area that might interest you, depending on your price range, place of employment, etc. Lakes of Savannah, Southern Trails, and Shadow Creek Ranch also have opportunities for building a new home. I agree with the other posts that you definitely need representation if you don't already have it. $4600 is higher than I have seen on a $200,000 home. In the Pearland/Alvin area, 1% is typical. It can be a little lower or higher, however. This amount seems high to me. - Wed Apr 23 2008, 08:49

There are a number of excellent school districts in the Houston area. Check outhttp:// www.just4kids.org for an abundance of information on school districts and even individual campuses. The school's rating has some importance, but can also be misleading. My husband is an administrator in one of the area school districts and test scores and ratings are definitely something to consider, but they don't tell the entire story concerning any school or district. If the school is a major factor in your buying decision, talk to school personnel who are with that district. They should be very willing to help.
