"I can’t even begin to tell you how thankful we were for Deryk & Debi. First of all we declined their services initially due to another Realtor that was referred to us by a friend. Our house sat on the market for 4 mos. during peak season and didn’t sell even though all other homes with our floorplan sold during that time. We were very discouraged and even worse out of the state and already on the other side of the country! I called Deryk knowing the whole time we should have used him, if we had our house would have sold! I gave him the challenge to sell it in the worst month. The market was at it’s all time low in 20 yrs. and so I told Deryk we wanted to lease as an option. He changed our marketing strategy and 2 days later we had a lease contract with a spotless tenant! I know selling would have been the better option for us but with the slow down of the housing market and our family heading for financial disaster we decided to rent. Deryk never flinched, he never tried to talk us out of it so he could get his “commission”, he honored our decision and got the job done. On top of that he sent us a book on investment properties so we could be better prepared on what to expect. When we were out of Georgia he made sure our house looked in top condition and staged it for free. When I think of the Harpers I think Honest, Hard Working and Results. When we are ready to sell you can be sure we will be using them again.

"My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Deryk Harper during the sale of our home. In order to express what we think makes Deryk a great selling agent, we would like to summarize our experience around three general areas: marketing, dedication and trust.Marketing - First and foremost, Deryk understands that a good marketing plan and maximum exposure, via the many different channels available to an agent, is the key to being able to sell a property. The more potential buyers you can reach the better chance you have in selling a property. Deryk also understands that regardless of where a potential buyer is viewing the property (e.g. on-line, information sheets, property showing) the house needs to be displayed in its “best light”. the following are some examples of things Deryk did in order to ensure our home was marketed properly:Excellent understanding of electronic marketing concepts and services that provided maximum on-line exposure to our property.Understood the value in having pictures of the property ready for electronic services at the point in time the property was listed.
Provided a stager to help with the exterior and interior presentation of our property.
Provided color information sheets to highlight the interior features of the property and make a great first impression on potential buyers (in contrast to the black and white information sheets used by the majority of other listings in our neighborhood).
Showing booklets were very well organized and provided lots of information (e.g. extra pictures of the house, school information, city information) beyond what we had typically seen at other properties.
Dedication - Deryk is one of the most dedicated and hardworking agents we have ever met. He was in constant contact during the entire process and provided excellent insight and advice on how to proceed at each step along the way. He was always available via phone or email and promptly responded to all of our questions. Some additional examples of his dedication are:
Given the volume of potential buyers that pulled street flyers and the number of showings our house had, we were constantly running out of marketing materials. Deryk always got additional materials to us the next day and usually dropped them off in a package well past midnight.
He worked or staffed an open house at our property three weeks in a row in order to help sell our property as soon as possible.
He displayed diligence with regard to updating the on-line services during the price changes that were required in order to ultimately sell our house. Once we executed the reductions to the sale price, Deryk made the changes immediately.
Trust - Deryk demonstrated to us early on that he was someone that we could trust but, more importantly, he had the ability to trust us and he allowed us to participate and provide input into the selling process.
