Nothing Less Than My Personal Best.
New Mexico has always been my home. Although I did live in Washington, Hawaii, Panama and Guatemala for a few years, I always came home to Albuquerque. Having been raised in the North Valley, I have seen the many changes in Albuquerque and the surrounding metro area. I still live in the area and enjoy the unique atmosphere, close to Albuquerque but far enough away, I live in my quiet, rural sanctuary. As a lifelong resident of the Albuquerque area, I know the area and am familiar with the uniqueness of each area. I listen to you and compile your needs and in turn, that enables me to help you find the perfect home for you. From Estancia to Mountainair, from Belen to Algodones, from Bosque Farms to Corrales and beyond, the beauty of our state is well represented and captivating. I believe in community and the people that comprise it. Involvement in Little League, YAFL, the local community fair, the NM State Fair, High School sports, local car shows and mentoring the youth who are our future has prepared me well for my career of choice. After raising my two sons, I returned to college and graduated. During this time, I became a New Mexico History buff and submerged myself in it.
My ancestors traveled the Santa Fe Trail almost 200 years ago. What seems to have brought my family here many years ago has not dwindled, it has become my passion and I hope to share that with others. New Mexico is unlike any other land in the world, the uniqueness will captivate you as you find something new and exciting everytime you look.

"I want to thank you both for all that you did in getting Park Lane Circle sold! Lori you are worth your weight in GOLD! Having sold over twenty-five homes in my lifetime as well as being a real estate broker for 7 years I have met a number of brokers and I have to say you are one of three brokers that are truly professionals. It is very obvious that you really believe in what you are selling, which makes you good at it and a cut above the rest."

Hi Shirley
I live in Valencia County and both of my kids went to Los Lunas Public Schools. Los Lunas is growing and covers a lot of different homes & prices. Lots of choices! We have a new high school, making it 2! I like the rural feel of the area and if you do have to commute to Albuquerque, the commute is from 20 to 30 minutes and like Karen said, many people use the RailRunner. There are lots of new things happening around the area, we have Little League, YAFL, AYSO, FFA, 4-H, Rodeo and more for the kids.

The latest housing report for Albuquerque shows home prices are starting to slide, and some home buyers say this is just what they have been waiting for.

The report indicates that houses are not only slipping in price, but they are also staying on the market for a lot longer.

“For someone like me, it makes it nice to have a lot of stuff to look at and make sure I get what I want,” said Michael Chavez, who is looking to purchase a home.

Numbers released Tuesday show the average home price has dropped to $229,000. That is down almost 3 percent from the same time last year.

And despite the lower prices, fewer houses are selling, about 800 less than in the first three months of 2007.

And those that do sell are sitting on the market for about 71 days compared to the 46 days it took to sell them a year ago. Rural areas in the surrounding metro area have longer days on market, often over 4-5 months and sometimes over 1 year depending on price and location.

But Cathy Olson of the Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors says the numbers are much better than the rest of the country’s numbers.

Olson says Albuquerque’s housing market is correcting itself after the enormous growth over past couple of years

“There was some over building going on, I also think that we couldn't catch up to the number of builds as well as the onslaught of investors coming in,” said Olson.

Realtors say the slump is not hitting areas like Nob Hill and northeast Albuquerque as hard as it’s hitting people on the West Side.

Sellers should expect to be realistic when pricing their home. I have sold homes recently within 3 hours after placing it on the market, another in 8 days and another that had been on the market over 6 months. Advertising is so important, getting the word and generating interest. It's not just a sign. In this market, that doesn't work anymore. - Wed Apr 9 2008, 08:38

Hi Basil
The elevation in Los Lunas varies in much the same way as Albuquerque. We have the valley area and there are also mesa areas surrounded Los Lunas so it actually depends. I know some elevations are 4800 in the flood zone and others that are not located in the flood zone exceed 4900 ft but they are on the mesa areas that can be found east or west of the actual Village of Los Lunas. - Sun Apr 6 2008, 14:07
