Ditto Daniel and Tari. You can list it at whatever price you decide but be prepared to lower the price inside of 2 weeks if there is no activity. By activity I don't mean showings, I mean offers on the table.

Property taxes are approximately assessed at .0121 X purchase price. City and county transfer taxes are added at the close of a transaction and vary by area.

Unless your Realtor is planning to buy the home for you there was no need for a comment such as you say. There are also no average amount of showings to a buyer either a first timer such as you or an experienced buyer. Period.. It takes what it takes until YOU are happy putting an offer in on a home.

You really should call the school district to verify. No agent in this city, that knows this city will ever state that buying a home falls into one school area or another. If you bought under the premise that your children would attend a school close to the home you purchased and you find out that school does not have an available seat(s) and you have to send your children to another school your going to be very unhappy.
