About Me

I am excited to announce that on August 15, 2007 I became the proud new owner of the Windermere Glenn Taylor Real Estate offices in Bingen, Stevenson and Goldendale, WA. It is a great career move for my wife and myself and we look forward to our continued association with Windermere. I have been a licensed Sales Associate since 1985, an Associate Broker in Washington since 1994 and an Associate Broker in Oregon since 1998. Experienced in residential, unimproved, commercial, investment and recreational property, I am familiar with the laws and regulations regarding these property specialties. I have been successfully employed as a full-time Realtor in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge since 1990 and am committed to providing the highest level of service to my clients and customers in the tradition of Windermere Glenn Taylor Real Estate. I am also committed to community service and currently serve as a Board Member of the Mid Columbia Association of Realtors. I am a Past President of the Mt. Adams Chamber of Commerce and Past President of the Rotary Club of White Salmon-Bingen. I have been a member of the Rotary Club of White Salmon-Bingen since 1998. Recently, I accepted an appointment to the Columbia Gorge Commission on behalf of Klickitat County and will serve as a Commissioner through 2009. I am proud to have been voted the 2005 Realtor of the Year for the Mid Columbia Association of Realtors.

I would be better prepared to answer your question if I had a good understanding of the interior finish. Have you made any recent upgrades to floors, countertops, fixtures, etc.? If so, details regarding those changes would be helpful. There have been several recent sales of homes with your square footage and slightly larger, but many of them were recently remodeled. Another question is regarding the siting of the house. Is the house located on the corner lot, if not, then where in proximity to the corner lot? Does the footprint of the house occupy one lot or two? Also, is the shop on one lot or two and where? As far as any additional lots are concerned, the issue of availability of water will have some bearing on value. Right now bare land is not moving unless water is available. The most recent sale of a lot in town with a water hookup included occurred on 11/19/07 at $126,000. It was 89x92 and was on the North side of Oak Street, east of Dock Grade. Therre was also the tear-down house at 227 SE Wyers on a 50x100 lot that sold on 12/19/07 for $85,500. I do not think that it had a water hook-up, but I am not sure.
