I would avoid this situation unless we are talking about one of the homes being a short sale. If this is the case, you may have a clause in the short sale addendum that allows you to back out anytime for any reason or for no reason. You still need to be very careful in this situation as you could end up being contractually obligated to buy 2 homes. - Fri Nov 6 2009, 09:18
