The ex wife needs to have someone other than the attorney quantify exactly what the ramifications would be. Many times it is less if any of what these worst case scenarios are. A good title officer working with an accountant would be able to determine a lot of this. The attorney is just protecting her interest for the what if scenario. Get the worst case on the table and present it and hope.

With her Agent present, can you arrange a face to face or do a letter from the heart saying how much you love this home. I am in the middle of a similar scenario, in fact, I thought you were talking about my escrow but I noticed some differences. - Sat Dec 5 2009, 13:22
