Just for clarification, Cody is in Park County and not Shoshone County. It is my opinion that the Wapiti Valley outside of Cody is the most scenic part of Wyoming. It is between Cody and the East Gate of Yellowstone National Park and borders the Shoshone National Forest. I agree that Wyoming is a place people are looking for to enjoy retirement, a change in life style, or have vacation homes. So far property values in our area are still affordable and the values have not escalated like they have in Teton County. It is my opinion that within the next five years, this area will have one of its largest increases in property values than it has had in a number of years. Before moving to Wyoming, I lived in 8 different states. This is the only one that I chose, the others were chosen by my employer. Please contact me if you would like to have specific data about the Cody area.
