you are not finding any relief with your current situation. I have done a great deal of reasearch on situations such as yours and have gained wonderful knowledge of the options available for those families who are in similar situations as yours. Yes, it is possible for you to entertain a short sale with your lender even if you are not falling behind with your mortgage. The process is a bit different than a normal short sale, but it can be managed. There are many different hardships that would allow your lender to approve a short sale. You may want to contact your lender directly to see if you are a candidate. I wish you much success in the sale of your home!
