Your credit does not have to be PERFECT; however, a good score - as well as adequate funds for down payment - would be extremely helpful. Your first step should be to speak with your bank's loan officer or a mortgage broker for the best advice regarding your situation. - Fri May 30 2008, 15:35
Oh, yes! With just the basics given in your question, I can direct you to at least 12 very nice properties. Let's discuss what your wants and needs in a property are; we can fine tune your search from there. Downtown Indy has so much to offer that I would not try to describe it all within this forum. - Thu May 29 2008, 12:55
There are many communities in Indy that would fit what you are looking for. First, we need to define what things you need and want. I love the Castlewood subdivision for its peacefulness with lots of mature trees, park and close to shopping. How close to your job do you need to be and how much does commuting affect your decision on location? Contact me for an in-depth discussion on what you are looking for. I would be happy to serve you and your family. - Sat May 10 2008, 13:25
It doesn't matter how old or young you are, it still depends on what you may be looking for! To make it easier, why don't you make a list of five things you MUST have in a home and a list of five things you WANT to have in your home. Then, we can work together to find the perfect home for you. There are so many really nice neighborhoods in Indianapolis proper as well as the outlying areas; so many ways to enjoy all the choices and opportunities this area has to offer. Shoot me an email -- I would love to introduce you to this area. I moved here from Gary, IN and worked in Chicago. Indianapolis is great! - Fri Mar 28 2008, 19:58
Hello, Lisa. Some really nice housing markets are around Greenwood, Martinsville and Mooresville. It really depends on how far from "downtown Indy" you are looking to be, and also if you are looking because of relocation issues you should consider the type of commute you are willing to adjust to. The Spiceland area is also very nice but a touch farther away on I65. I love to drive so my view may be a bit skewed. Hamilton County is north of Indy and has some nice properties available. However, keep in mind you should figure real estate taxes into your equation regardless of where you decide to reside. - Sun Mar 2 2008, 12:41
