The best thing to do now is to talk to a reputable lender to find out whether you would qualify based on your current situation, and if not, what you'd need to do. A good lender will help you work through any issues, whether it takes a few months or a year. If you need some names of lenders with a good reputation in the Indianapolis area, who have helped clients of mine who are faced with similar circumstances. Let me know, I'd be happy to connect you.
