Are REO listings really a good deal for first time home buyers? - looking in Studio City.

Not that great. Most first time buyers are going to be qualified with FHA or similar housing loans. Most of these require special inspections that a lot of the foreclosed properties can't pass. There is usually a lot of repair cost involved in these as well. Unless the new buyer has plenty of cash and knows alot about home repair, they could be in for a rude awakening on their dream home. - Wed Apr 30 2008, 07:42

The biggest reason buyers are not jumping on the oportunities is that they don't want to end up in the same mess as the people losing all the houses. The loan qaulifications has been tightened also. It is harder for people to go out and get money. - Wed Apr 30 2008, 07:38

If you feel you have a legitamit claim then filing a complaint may be the course of action. I would recommend that you talk with agents broker first to see if the issue may be resolved there. If you are still unsatisfied then move on to you local board of realtors and tell them your complaint. If there are some specific problems that you can discuss ,I would be happy to give you more advice. - Wed Apr 30 2008, 07:35
