About Me
2007 Realtor Associate of the Year!
Life Member, Multi Million Dollar Club
Member, Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate

A full-time Realtor since 1994, Randy has been a Memphian since 1985 and has served the Memphis community in numerous civic and philanthropic capacities.

Realtor Involvement & Awards
Randy was recently honored as the 2007 Realtor Associate of the Year by the Memphis Area Association of Realtors which currently has just over 5000 members. Randy is also a Life Member of the Multi Million Dollar Club, a Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI) and an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR). He has served The Memphis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR) as chair of multiple committees and currently serves as a Trustee for MAAR’s Education Foundation as well as a member of the Professional Standards Panel which rules on ethics violations for members of the Memphis Realtor community, and as a member of the MAAR Benevolent Committee. He has served on several MAAR task force projects and has received nominations for the Board of Directors for both MAAR and the Multi-Million Dollar Club. Because Memphis enjoys one of the strongest and most respected Realtor organizations in the country, Randy is proud to be involved in maintaining the extremely high ethical code to which Memphis Realtors adhere. He is also proud to be a part of the Hobson Company, which is also known for extremely high standards of professional and ethical conduct. Put simply, no one deal or commission is worth the reputation of any serious Realtor or their reputation.
Community & Civic Service
Randy’s has a deep commitment to community service. He has served on the Board of Directors of several civic organizations including the Goodwill Boys and Girls Club, The Phoenix Club, Memphis Rebel Club, Carnival Memphis, Botanic Garden Avant Gardeners, and The Dixon’s Young at Art. He was named “Volunteer of the Year” by the Calvary Street Ministries, a help center for the homeless, addicted, and mentally ill. He also went as a missionary to Honduras, where he helped build a house for a family and worked in the pharmacy for the medical portion of the mission in the slums of the capitol city and a remote mountain village ravaged by Hurricane Felix.
Family & Hobbies
Born in Greenville, Mississippi, Randy grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. While in school at Ole Miss he met his wife, the former Margaret Heiskell, a native Memphian, who spent part of her childhood in Sumner Mississippi. Their son James is currently a freshman at Ole Miss after graduating from Briarcrest Christian School, and their daughter Katherine is a first grader the Hutchison School. Randy and his family are parishioners at St. John’s Episcopal Church, where he serves as a Lay Eucharistic Minister and has served as a Sunday school teacher, Acolyte Master, and committee chairman. Randy is also a member of the Ole Miss Alumni Association, Phi Kappa Tau Alumni Association, and formally a member of Rotary. His hobbies include golf, hunting, and reading and he is an avid (some would say rabid) fan of Ole Miss Football. Randy has recently taken up painting, and has shown and sold his work at three shows in Memphis after just a year and half of picking up the brush.

Randy Jefferson answered:
Hey Manny and welcome to Memphis! Like my fellow Realtors have said, the Memphis area has many great neighborhoods, but I would advise you to look in many different areas. Some times people have an undeserved bias toward the suburbs (and that may very well be right for you), but we also offer some beautiful and thriving older neighborhoods as well. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the giant trees, azaleas, and fabulous turn of the century homes that some people don't see until after they have purchased a home in the suburbs. Memphis and Shelby County have lots of happy and healthy places, so be sure to "do the legwork" and look all around!
Also, be sure to get a qualified and active Realtor who knows all of the Mid-South and will work to match your needs to the best place for you to live. - Thu May 8 2008, 08:25

Specialties
I sell residential real estate in the Memphis, Tennessee area including downtown, mid-town, east Memphis, Germantown, Cordova, Eads, Lakeland, Collierville and Bartlett. While I generally sell mostly upscale homes I love working with all types of buyers and sellers including first-time buyers, families, singles, couples and even retirees or empty-nesters who are looking to change their lifestyle.

I believe in Memphis and find that those with a negative attitude toward our city are not seeing the forest for the trees! We have our societal problems like every large metropolitan area, but Memphis is a nice place to live with a lively and vibrant community full of some of the nicest people in the country. Together we can make Memphis a great place to live for all Memphians!

Interests
I have two wonderful children, one is a Sophomore in college and the other is a second-grader! I love to play golf when I can find the time, should be playing tennis (have played all my life until the last couple of years and I miss it) and hunt a little. I also love taking care of my yard. I'm a novice gardener, but enjoy growing herbs and my flower beds. In the past couple of years I've taken up painting as a hobby and have actually sold a few paintings. When I was much younger I worked for a wine distributor and had the fortune of learning about wine in my early 20s. So, I love good wines of all types and origins. I am very active at my church (St. John's Episcopal) where I serve as a Lay Eucharistic Minister and I am an avid reader, mostly church & European history, (how boring is that?).
My biggest passion is college football, particularly Ole Miss football (our Alma Mater and where our son attends now). Hotty Toddy!
